Outdoor Activities - skiing
The Isles is set amid two fantastic areas renowned for winter sports
and skiing in the Scottish Highlands.
To the south Glencoe Ski Centre, Scotland’s first commercial
ski area, boasts exhilarating skiing and the longest vertical descent
in Scotland. To the north is Nevis Range, Scotland’s highest
ski area and only mountain gondola. Nevis Range is truly an a area
for all seasons with skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and
walking and cycling year round.
Year round indoor climbing and ice climbing is also available at
The Ice Factor, the UK’s premier indoor mountain activity
centre. Qualified instruction is available for those willing to
take up the challenge!
